Internép has been delivering a placemaking process on Népszínház street, named after the former People’s Theatre, located in the centre of Budapest, until 1965. This multicultural street has always been an important city artery, connecting the outside with the inside, the new with the old, the resident with the foreigner. Today, the street, deprived of its folk theatre and cinemas, is known as the
antechamber of the district’s ‘ghetto romanticism’.
